Full Face Mask Course

Why Full Face Mask Diving?

Through the Full Face Mask Specialty course, you will learn the techniques and procedures to properly use a full-face mask. Full-face masks are especially useful when diving in extremely cold water or when communication is necessary. 

What do I need to start?

  • Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)

  • Minimum age: 10 years old

What will I do?

As part of your specialty course, you'll learn about:

  • Planning and organizing a FFM dive

  • Procedures and techniques using a FFM

  • Problems and hazards of using an FFM

  • Common terminology

  • Overview of emergency procedures

How long will it take?

  • Minimum Open Water Training: One confined water dive and two open water dives over one day

What will I need to study?

  • Digital training materials
