Q. How long have you been teaching SCUBA classes?

A. Sea Level Diving has been in business since 1987 and I started teaching in 1985.

Q. Is this course a “rushed” or “quicky” Course?

A. NO. Courses are standardized. Every Open Water course teaches the same information and skills. We chose to use the four-day format so you don’t have to wait weeks or months to get certified. Many training agencies recommend this format.

Q. Is there an age restriction?

A. Yes. 10 is the minimum age to participate in the course, and special conditions apply. Click here for details.

Q. Where do the classes take place?

A. The classroom training is done in one of our two big on-site classrooms. The pool training is done in our on-site pool. The training dives are done at 3 Oaks Recreation Area, adjacent to our store.

Q. What is your Equipment Satisfaction Guarantee?

A. If, during your pool training, you are not satisfied with the equipment you purchased from Sea Level Diving, we will exchange it for something more suitable.

Q. Do you do private lessons?

A. Yes. If your schedule does not fit ours, we can figure out something to accommodate you.

Q. How many people are in your classes?

A. We don’t want you to be “lost in the crowd” therefore, we limit our class and pool sessions to 6 people.

Q. Does anyone ever flunk the course?

A. I’m sorry to say yes; however, we will take as much time as needed to help a student with their difficulties. Your safety is paramount to us! Additional fees may apply for extra class or pool time.

Q. Do I have to be an athlete to take the class?

A. No. You can take the course provided you are comfortable in the water and reasonably healthy.

Q. I’m going to the Caribbean for a vacation. Am I able to do my Training Dives there?

A. Yes. Training agencies have a referral program so you can complete your dives while on vacation.

Q. When I dive to the bottom of a pool, my ears hurt. Will I be able to scuba Dive?

A. Yes. This is very common and has to do with the change in pressure. We will teach you a technique to overcome this.
