Adventure Diver

Adventure Diver is the next certification level after Open Water. It’s recommended you sign up for an Adventure Diver course immediately after your Open Water certification dives. This will give you three more dives under the supervision of an instructor.  To achieve the level of Adventure Diver, simply do any three Adventure Dives listed on the Specialties page. There is no classroom or pool work required, simply read the chapters in the Adventures In Diving book that correspond to your dives and do the three dives. You may skip the Adventure Diver certification and go directly to the Advanced Open Water course.

Advanced Open Water (AOW)

Advanced Open Water is the next certification level after Adventure Diver. Divers may sign up for an Advanced Open Water course immediately after the Open Water certification dives. This will give you five more dives under the supervision of an instructor. To achieve the level of Advanced Open Water, simply do one Adventure Deep Dive, one Adventure Navigation Dive and three other Adventure Dives for a total of five dives. There is no classroom or pool work required, simply read the chapters in the Adventures In Diving book that correspond to your dives and do the five dives.
